Chopping off your finger is no proof of true love, unfortunately. If only if it were that simple.
Reminds me of that zen Buddhist anecdote about Bodhidharma and the monk Huike, who cut off his own arm in desperation, begging Bodhidharma to "put his mind to rest" and give him enlightenment.
Of course, it didn't help him, because his mind and his arm were two completely different things. Bodhidharma said if Huike could bring him his mind, then he could put it to rest. But Huike couldn't find his mind anywhere.
I think the same goes for love. Your finger is not your love. If you bring Korone your finger, you're just bringing her a finger, and nothing else.
