The only thing the game lifts from the mobile version is the gimped combat mechanics like the partner pin and sync meter, and even then they added co-op to the switch version so you can at least do Solo Co-op which is probably the closest thing you can get to emulating the DS version.
Admittedly Solo Co-Op is pretty fun, but I'd rather just play the DS version.
