But they're pests and overpopulated. Anybody who lives in the country has known this for years, and even people in the cities are noticing an unhealthy overabundance of crows these days. They're beautiful and very smart creatures but their population must be controlled just like any other animal to maintain a healthy ecosystem. That doesn't mean you shouldn't have respect for the wonderful birds though, and there is no reason you can't absolutely love the kind of animal you hunt. If I ever get a pet bird it will definitely be a crow or raven.
