Lots of practice and learning. It's still not great really. I'm still using a mouse, as the situation I'm in prevents me from getting a tablet. The way I do things now, I draw out a really rough thing on notebook paper then trace over it with the mouse. I usually end up redrawing it around 4-5 times and undoing and redoing individual parts a lot more because the mouse is so jank.
