there is unironically a homeless woman near my house who sits next to a pile of garbage hidden in the bushes, during the night. first time i saw her she was in a staring contest with a curious street dog, inches face. i thought it was a crazy hobo at the time, but later it occurred to me it was probably a she and she probably stays as dirty as possible so as to deter rapists. there are also a lot of street dogs around the pile of garbage (food), who don't bother her and provide additional protection, kind of. She still has this unsettling stare though. Firsties won't understand
