Accidentally closed the tab after writing this post the first time and had to redo it. Fuck me.
>I see more vampires in manga than anything else.
Is that any surprise as someone who frequents a monster girl general on an otaku board?

That's just sufficiently popular stuff. Vampires worm their way into a lot of Western fantasyshit. And who knows how many bodice rippers involve hot vampire guys -- tens of thousands?
>I've also seen more manga adaptations of Alice in Wonderland than anything else for some reason.
Because Japan became familiar with Alice in Wonderland and authors are creating works that take from it like the West did and still does (though the surge ended a century ago, apparently).

Vampires and Alice in Wonderland are incredibly popular/well-known and, most importantly, not protected by copyright. Given the amount of manga produced, the popularity of said form of media (unlike Western comics), and your familiarity with it, I'm not at all surprised that you encounter them frequently.

I'm actually reading Pandora Hearts (volume 10) at this very moment. Alice is 2cute.
And I was reading a Vampire the Masquerade book (Road of Humanity) earlier today.
