Vtuber is "japanese" culture. If you are talking about otaku culture then yes honestly it is, but the same goes for anime. Anime has its own board but it is also a place for manga and webnovel.

Vtuber is a very very huge trend and it attracts too many people. That's why it needs a containment board, because there is too many people (ones who should never come to /jp/, dear god).
