It's not terrible, but it's not great either. Free college isn't worth dealing with knee and back problems, micromanagement, power-tripping supervisors, retarded institutional attitudes, retarded peers, retarded subordinates, schizophrenic unit policies, and downright awful treatment as a junior leader that you will experience should you join up, regardless of whether you enlist or commission.
For what it's worth, roughly 20% of my career field is getting to do really cool stuff you can't do anywhere else. The other 80% is what makes people get out after one contract or become alcoholics.
