I think it's just how she sings in general. I don't think there's anything wrong with it but I'm no vocal expert. I make instrumentals only and cheap soundbanks with janky slides and overblown bass hurt my ears a lot more. As far as Kanata's voice goes I wouldn't have it any other way, she's always the first to admit she needs to improve and train more, to me her unpolished voice is precious. Maybe because I get to see it develop as I watch her.
