You wouldn't seriously send your sister or your mother to a farm, much less turn them into monsters against their will?

Why bother sending one guy who has a high chance of failure even with years of training, when you can just send a troop of twenty well-trained soldiers to take out a lamia with an almost infinitely high chance of success.

It's harder to fight against four mediocre opponents than it is to fight against a single expert fighter.

Same applies to fighting monstergirls. One vs One is fair, but given the difference in strenght between a paladin and a spidergirl it will almost always end in defeat for the paladin.

Four okayish soldiers who work well together will almost always come out on top in comparison.
