I'm sure there's a few people in here who would write but know that it's pointless since what they'd write about would be ignored for the most part.

I know it sounds presumptuous and definitely alludes to underlying writer ego but there's literally no reason to write something if the writer already knows there is no audience for it, that's just writing for the sake of writing.
