On another note, I find it interesting that even with her redesign the profile gargoyle is one of the few KC monsters to lack thumbs. Though as shown with the gargoyle in the Gaiden guide, this probably depends on the design of the statue she was born of.

While not a type of large scale conflict, I recall it being mentioned in World Guide Side II that many wild monsters with interests in fighting will challenge those of various ranks in the mamono lord's army for the sake of testing themselves.

I quite like the profile version of the gargoyle, but MGE Gaiden 2 shows a variation with no tail and feathered wings. What gargoyle variations do you think could exist or would want to exist?

Presumably the only real limits are that they have to be female, beautiful, humanoid and have a stone-like look to their skin (unless features like wings and horns are required for the fiend spell that gives them life).
