Curious, I asked if she was the other inhabitant that Miss Yuuka had mentioned. "Well...One of them. I really must recommend not attempting to explore this place on your own. It exists on the border of the Dream World and the Real World, after all." I felt my eyes widen slightly at that, but I managed not to say anything. Did that mean that Doremy Sweet could potentially be here? "Well, anyway, please come over here." She beckoned us over with some slight impatience. "Before the bread cools."

"What is this, Miss Kazami?" Yamame asked, joining Miss Yuuka at the counter by the oven. "It smells really nice." Miss Yuuka lifted one of the baked pieces of bread, a circular sort of thing with a dark swirling pattern.

"This, according to the recipe I obtained, is a type of pastry known as a cinnamon roll." Miss Yuuka told us. She placed the cinnamon roll that she had lifted back with the others, then turned to a bowl that had been waiting on the counter. "And this is vanilla icing." She explained, lifting it, and beginning to pour it over the waiting pastries.

"How, um, did you get all the ingredients?" Yamame asked curiously. "I didn't think you could get some of this stuff inside the barrier."

Miss Yuuka smiled politely. "I have my ways." She said, and I got a sudden image in my mind of Miss Yuuka casually walking up to wherever the barrier between our world and the outside world lied, and ripping it open enough for her to walk in and out without anything being able to stop her. "Did you know that it's actually very easy to terrify a mountain youkai into letting you enter their secret lair with a portal to the outside world?" Slowly, I asked her if she was teasing us. Instead of answering, she simply smiled even wider, which didn't fill me with confidence. "Anyway, I was able to retrieve the ingredients and recipes, and since I have so much free time, I decided to make use of it." Miss Yuuka looked over at Yamame, who was eyeing the cinnamon rolls strongly. "Feel free to have one, dear." Miss Yuuka said, sweeping her hand over the tray.

"U-Um, thank you!" Yamame said, her hand sneaking out to grab one of the rolls and immediately take a big bite. At that point, her face cycled through several strange expressions, her eyes widened, she let out some strange noises that I thought were of delight, and when she finally swallowed, it was with a very satisfied sigh. "Oh, it's the most delicious thing I've ever eaten!" Yamame cried, and I stared at her incredulously. Were they really that good? Not quite believing her, I reached out for one myself and took a bite from it.

Oh, I thought to myself. They really were that good. Intensely sweet from both the icing and the sweet itself, though there was also something more subtle from the cinnamon. Yamame was absolutely right. They were probably the most delicious thing I had ever eaten. "Enjoying them?" Miss Yuuka asked us, her hands clasped behind her back and a tentative smile on her face. After I'd confirmed that they were excellent, she smiled and stood up straight. "I'm glad."

We stayed for a while longer, eating a few more of the cinnamon rolls, but making sure that enough were saved for Elly and Miss Yuuka. Eventually, with the sun beginning to dip lower in the sky, Miss Yuuka clapped her hands against her fusty apron. "It's probably about time for you to go home, isn't it?" She asked us. "Come along." She beckoned us forward, though she didn't wait to take her apron off.
