>How long have you been learning Japanese?
I learned kana (which is almost nothing) about 7 years ago, didn't get past that but learned it well as when I went straight to kanji this year I could remember them clearly. Been learning kanji from core2k/6k for the last 4 months or so and checking out (quick) grammar guides too.
>How well do you understand the streams?
I can get the general idea of what they are saying most of the time, even zatsudan, but I can't get it 100% as I still lack lots of vocabulary. It also depends of the holo, for example Okayu is easy to understand when playing games but often talks about topics that are complicated to me and I get lost easily, while Aqua and Towa are easy to follow topic-wise but their pronounciation goes over my head all the time.

I'm enjoying learning tho, I definitely can understand streams better than before and whenever I get a Twitter notification from my favorites and I'm able to read it I get a sense of accomplishment. I burned out from ankireps about 3 months in, but soldiered on and I'm back to enjoying them again, too.
