There's your problem. Most secondaries don't actually play Touhou. Seriously though, EoSD plays more like the PC98 games but the biggest thing is it doesn't look like a PC98 game. China's patterns, for instance, don't really look like PC98 patterns, esp with the increased color limitations. Remilla's patterns also feel much more different aside from like maybe Mountain of a Thousand Needles. Sakuya has space moving gimmicks and Pachouli's patterns are really all over the place.
