Iirc it was about not being able to cross running water, not being harmed or killed by it. Kinda like they typically can't enter a home uninvited - which I don't think was ever addressed in 2hu lore, actually. Also, the misty lake is probably fine, nobody would set their mansion up right in front a huge pool of their magical weakness.

You know, the more I think about it, the more sense it makes for Remilia to move to Gensokyo.
They probably can't cross any flowing water, including the underground water pipes and sewers. It only makes sense that any small town and even single households in the middle of nowhere nowadays would be more like a maze of impenetrable solid walls. I also wonder, if rain is enough to stop a vampire, would defensively spitting at one also prevent it from moving, at least for a second? What about crying, that's also flowing water. What if you make the vampire cry?
