Not necessarily. There's a bunch of Kanji that can all be read "Rei-" and now that I think about it, I'm not even sure if there are any JAV Reikos using the same Kanji as each other. "-ko" tends to be the same.
The correlation between hags and being named Reiko is that it (meaning all homophonic variations) was pretty popular in the Showa era (December 25, 1926 – January 7, 1989) which is when many hags would have been born. Therefore, when picking their stage names, "Reiko" automatically conjures up a classic and mature feeling. I think most names ending in "-ko" give a similar impression but Reiko is especially nice-sounding to me
