Strictly as a platform it's not that bad other than shoving ads down your throat every hour and when you load into the stream unless your a member. The real issue is twitch culture, especially since raid culture is so common on twitch, as well as being able to spam emotes from other channels. Not to mention theres bots designed specifcly to target and spam large channels or certain twitch categories. Its a jannies worst nightmare and makes the community hell to put up with.
