Peko-Moona was great because of how fucking random it was. Literally the most unexpected pairing at the time, between the most viewed vtuber in the world and a random ID girl that sorta spoke english and almost no japanese.
They also fulfilled one of the oldest comedy routines in the book, the crazy, exccentric yet genius boss and their straightfaced, overly competent employee with a crush on their boss. It just worked

nowadays with KanataxReinee and MikoxOllie is just kinda expected, and they all talk in japanese so the magic is gone.
