I've said it before and I'll say it again, I would pay good money for a fanmade continuation of the PC98 canon. There's a lot of unrealised potential in the characters that ~95% of people will never see beyond a few dumb memes that somehow gained traction.

In any case it's pretty much a given that someone (Gengetsu) is going to have a meltdown over something unforseen and unavoidable and that'll trigger a fight that will blow apart the local environment.
It's going to be very tiring juggling two nutjobs, a grumpy mini-youkai that can still level buildings, and a lecherous cake all at the same time, in the same place.
At least Kurumi is happy no matter what. I don't think anyone's ever seen that girl sad. It might be because someone scooped out that part of her brains, but her naïve optimism can struggle through whatever hell those monsters get up to.
