Do you choose a doppelganger or a doppelganger? Remember this is an important choice

So i finally got around to play Fallen Maidens 2 Lescatie Infiltration and other than the fact that having a look at Lescatie while moving around a character instead of reading about it was awesome (gives me even more hype for the MGE RPG) got to say, i was supposed to emphatize with the Doppleganger, but it really sorta gave me a 'wait, no this is wrong' vibe to them.
As i was playing the game the Demon ending was my favourite since Demons are the best, but discovering that it was actually all a ruse was quite the surprise, like it's piss easy for a doppelganger to disguise herself as a monster type you want, and if you are looking for a specific type that's sorta scary cause it's not actually her, but just something pretending to be it.
If the portal opened i would be extra wary of doppelgangers, that's all, the eldritch monsters where my big 'i don't trust this' zone, but now dopplegangers are on the top of it

What do I do if I like a doppelganger's transformed form better than her real one?
