You bother because you're doing something you enjoy. The thing that people seem to misunderstand about the writefaggots and the drawfaggots is they're making an executive decision to write or draw something they want to. Rather than, of course, listen to the readers and professional art critics on 4chan about every little facet of their work.

I mean, for fuck's sake, unless you're somebody like Bob pushing unpopular fetishes that belong on /d/ to a prickly lot like these threads or Bollocks/Shoggocks/Faggocks/Whatever the fuck, Ambrosias fucking Failstone, there's no reason to not feel welcome here. Yes, thread content has been slow or lackadaisical but as much as I personally have a distaste for threadcanon and shitty memes this place is about as close to home as I'd consider any 4chan thread.
