Stupid question:
The book I am reading is introducing new vocab with both the kana and Kanji representations, but the Kanji is a bit too overwhelming for me as I am just beginning. Should I focus just on kana for now? From what I am told, people learn Hiragana, then Katakana, and then finally Kanji?
