Does anyone know another war game besides Sengoku Rance that takes up the issue of child soldiers?

I really don't want to believe a rather unbalanced anime styled porn game is the only game that does.

Give Usatei a ride by IOSYS. That song, and Gyakutan from the Index S1 OST have over 400 traffic. Only JP-esque songs that have traffic that high. Also, if you really want to get any re playability out of the game - stop playing Mono right away.

Many new people go to mono because of how simple it is, and never move up - so they never have decent scores and become uninterested immediately, while there is still much to explore.

Although yes, it's kind of weird how you need Hibachi to capture Nogiku, but it never gets explained how or why. It's almost a throwback to the countless nonsensical "item x enables action y" from 80's text adventures.

Rance puts the bar for unglamorously portraying the hell of war a little higher than most games do.

I really didn't want to conquer this dude, but I ended up super-gluing a huge mustache on his face, so it's all good.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. Haven't played the others and have no real intention to do so, but feel even though SR didn't have much of a plot, the various subplots were quite enjoyable.
Especially liked the Akashi arc. Proof that "adult themes" doesn't only imply sexual content - GTA or Postal would never face you with child soldiers.
