The only thing Aki lacks is good luck. Extraordinarily bad luck hit her as soon as she started and kept knocking her down.
While all the other Holos got big hype because of memes being spread around about them, Aki got hit by a truck and was out of commission for three months with a few breaks in the following months to heal her broken leg, her internet went down just as she was about to debut so she couldn't do anything for almost a month except upload small clips to Mirrativ for her first month, countless technical issues, acts of god interfering with some of her events, and the Youtube Demonetization hitting her and Choco the hardest. There are huge gaps in Aki's uploads over the past two years because of a lot of stuff beyond her control, and the content she could provide was limited.

Following Aki's playthrough of Crisis Core (and half of FF7R) which gave a small boost to her presence, ARK has become one of the major things that lifted Aki up. It gave her the platform to show off and actually provide unique game content, Aki puts in a lot of thought into trying new challenges and tricks to keep ARK streams fresh. Over the past few months, Aki's rate of growth has accelerated significantly and she regularly gets 5000~ live viewers for her ARK streams when she was getting low hundreds for almost anything she did more than six months ago. That recent visibility has allowed her to shine, for others to see the other things she can produce.

Aki's headstart was met with being tripped up repeatedly right out of the gate.
But now she's going to nyoom to the moon.
