If Aile isn't the cutest, she is definitely high-tier. She's adorable whether she has long hair or short, in full-body pantyhose or a sundress. I'm kind of obsessed with the idea of being friends with a tomboyish girl, slowly becoming more aware of each other's bodies as we grow up, until eventually one of us finally does what we're both thinking about. Aile hits that longing for me so hard it hurts.

She also has the distinction of being in one of the last games Capcom ever made. It's a real shame that the studio just up and shut down in 2006 out of nowhere. I really feel bad for the fans who will never get a Rockman/Megaman Legends 3, see the story of Street Fighter finally continued in SFIV, or learn what happens to Ryuuichi/Phoenix after the shocking conclusion to Gyakuten Saiban 3. It's only settling in now, ten years later, that we'll never have another Vampire/Darkstalkers 2 or Justice Gakuen/Rival Schools 3 or a Power Stone 2. Lord only knows why they shut down so suddenly, without a doubt the world would be a better place if they were still making games.
