Why is the jannie deleting on-topic Touhou threads? This has been happening quite a lot recently, but just tonight

Neither of these threads are even noteworthy, /jp/ has had cosplay threads for ages. They didn't derail into porn dumps or anything, in fact they barely started. Why go after these threads when there's garbage like >>44534977 and >>44532732 on the board?

Is there some new rule change? If the jannie saying that because cosplay has its own board it should be posted there instead of here (lmao)? Or do they just have some personal vendetta against it?

My little cousin is interested in Touhou, but he hasn't made the leap yet. He just finds the games interesting. He likes reading comics and doujins, but I feel like the official Touhou manga, even the most beginner friendly ones, still ask you to know or understand things about the series, and might be a bit intimidating to someone just beginning to get interested in the series.

Do you have any Touhou doujins you like that might be good for beginners to read? Specifically stuff that doesn't require a great deal of background knowledge to enjoy. No porn obviously.

To put it bluntly, I was in a situation where I had to fight against something I couldn't understand so I imagined a sword that could destroy anything instantly and it became a reality. It was the beginning of a long journey into the paranormal, full of battles, hardships and mysteries, only to end with my inability to accept myself destroying everything.
