Of course it's a separate timeline, but it doesn't change the fact that Satoko should have been obsessed with Rika the same way she was obsessed with Satoshi, regardless of whether or not she becomes a looper. It's part of her character, a constant. Rika remembering everything also shows that this isn't a Saikoroshi-like bizarro universe or anything either.

Hell Satoko is the one that has to walk Rika to the bathroom at night because Rika's scared. Satoko learns to cook so she can cook for her. Satoko is Rika's helper. It's a very different relationship to the one she had with Satoshi.

Did you analyze this question before asking it? She's gutting her because she has to pass off as an L5 victim since she knows Rika remembers everything since 4 loops ago, the hell is she gonna kiss her for? Make Rika think Satoko had deep romantic feelings for her which could influence her and affect the gaslighting scenario of "oyashiro-sama curses you for your sin" that she's trying to plant into Rika's mind?

That's not really the case here though. Satoko's attachment issues make her unable to fathom a world without Rika, whom she thinks is her only family left. Not only does she go to somewhere for Rika's sake that she absolutely despises, she also thinks Rika betrayed her and ratted her out to the teacher about her trap. It's like you're treating Satoko as a random person and not Satoko Houjou.
