TWO SIDES OF HUMANITY: THE HAKUREI MIKO PUNISHES THE STRAY SOUL OF A WAYWARD HUMAN?

IT was a peaceful day in the Human Village’s market. Children played in the streets, women gossiped, and men plied their wares. A truly idyllic scene that neither human nor youkai could hate. In these troubled times, such moments of peace are to be cherished.

However, there’s more than meets the eye.

Hidden in plain sight, two villains threaten an upheaval of the status quo. Kijin Seija, a low-tier troublemaker enters the scene. Accompanying her is none other than the man known as Goro, the renegade monk from Myouren temple. They make a very unusual pair: The contrarian youkai and a human that once pursued enlightenment. Little is known about their strange partnership (A shared thirst for power? Blackmail? A forbidden love that crosses the youkai—human boundary?), but they have been sighted together in the Underworld and Animal Realm by reliable and trustworthy sources. Most concerning is a blatant assault against the innocent Yama of Higanbana, flipping the Sanzu River onto her. Shikieiki drowned in their underhanded tactics and the wayward souls of 1,602 ancestors and lost loved ones.

Cue the Hakurei miko, arriving on the scene to deliver punishment to the haughty evildoers! With fair warning, the miko cleared the market with her words, ensuring no bystanders would be caught in the ensuing violence. Never one for an easy resolution, it was no surprise the amanojaku viciously assaulted the miko with danmaku. This reporter was surprised when, in total support, Goro sent orders to Seija in the midst of battle! Though they shared no words, it was clear the human supported the amanojaku from the sidelines and communicated a plan for victory. Combining her ability to flip anything with the human’s strategic mind, the duo made for a truly terrifying opponent.

Yet, the Hakurei miko seems to have retained her blessing. Avoiding all nine of the amanojaku’s heinous spellcards and her myriad reversal-tactics, the red-white miko was completely unharmed. Without firing a single shot in retaliation, Hakurei Reimu stood over her foes in total triumph. With a brutal blow from her gohei to each of their skulls, empowered by the Yama’s judgement and every soul traveling the Sanzu, the miko put an end to their insidious dealings before they could begin.

This incident, however minor, causes one to wonder what this means for the future of Gensokyo. Could this mark the return of the Hakurei miko to her duties? Will more humans follow in Goro’s example, joining youkai in order to spread terror and chaos? Are these events merely a string of spiteful disturbances, or will they lead to a greater incident brewing in the shadows?

~Aya Shameimaru~

____

It would need review, but it seemed good enough for an on-the-spot draft. Reimu was just leaving Geidontei with a present box in her hands. That would be Aya’s cue to leave before the miko noticed—and she was coming this way now.
“Reimu, good job! You really got back into the swing of battle, huh?” Her placid expression wasn’t encouraging, but it was very familiar. Ahh, it almost felt like the old Reimu was completely back! “So, you wanna grab a drink or something?”

“No, I’m full. How about we drop off my present before Hana gets to Alice’s house? I don’t imagine she would be happy about seeing me, so I’d like to make things easier for her.” It was almost cute how shy she could be after such an intense fight.

“Sure thing! Just let me smooth it all over when we get there.” Taking off together, Aya was all alone in the skies with Reimu. She never expected to feel a hand against her back, rifliing through her feathers.

“Ahhh, so soft.”

“WAAAAAH! W-What are you doing?”

“They just seemed so soft. You don’t mind me touching your wings in exchange for giving you a story, do you?” Aya couldn’t muster a single coherent word against this woman. All that came out were strained, stifled moans of conflicting shame and pleasure.

“Great. You know, this has been one of the most pleasant conversations we’ve ever had? I think I like it like this way.”

(Part 79)

I am almost 'current'. Now I just need to write her giving birth and the Aya plot will finally be in the present.
