I found out you can put javascript in Anki cards so I wrote 2 lines of code to automatically convert "usually kana" words into kana, but also leaving the unusual kanji on the back.

A little setup is needed in yomichan:
1. Add a field in your note called "Yomichan Tags"
2. In Yomichan, map the value {tags} to this field
3. Map your expression field to {furigana-plain}
