Native English speakers are not taught proper adjective order in school (maybe it's just a rural Dixie public school thing?) because we instinctively place them in the proper order so I was really surprised when I found about how strict adjective order is in English. Wonder if Japanese people often experience this kind of surprise with JSLs learning about things that the average native Japanese speaker doesn't know.
