It's a cop out but it's also a problem intrinsic to harem media on the whole. Often times you end up with series like EMG that write themselves into a corner because the creator is getting out-paced by the fanbase with no real end goal in sight and has to make do with what they can when they can. I've said it numerous times before, either on here or Le Ebin Discords when discussing this shit but Ranma 1/2 and Tenchi Muyo are the two series and/or franchises that actually have the formula fucking work.

The reason is actually incredible simple, ready? It's because there's never a question of will they or won't they, but a matter of time. Tenchi famously marries his entire harem and has children with them ( Due to Juraian polygamy and the fact that it's an everybody wins situation; Though if we wanted to debate semantics Ryoko won the Tenchibowl by getting pregnant first). Then in the case of Ranma 1/2, the question as to which suitor Saotome Ranma is going to inevitably choose is never really unanswered because about the only suitor, male or female, he actually has any good chemistry with is Akane.

Fuck's sake, man, my biggest beef with EMG is that Crab started this shit with 'They're living with Darling to try and pitch legal interspecies marriage to Japan!' but because he writes Darling to be such an immutable prude, society has moved on past him and we've seen numerous occasions of monsters having sex with humans and in the case of Polt, marrying one.

TL;DR: The effectiveness of a harem story ultimately boils down to the skill and vision of the writer. So yeah, while I agree the shit in Monster Musume No Oisha-san is kind of a cop out because of convenient polygamy laws in Lindwurm, it's still the creator's fault for even writing that shit in the first place instead of just going "Glenn will only ever have eyes for Sapphee".

Imagine if monster girls had their own imageboard.

Anyone else finds it kind of pathetic those people going for Hellhounds? They are like "she will protect me so much" and they are just glorified Werewolves. Unlike Manticores, they have strenght, flight and can fire spikes like machine guns. Now that is protection if you ask me.

And then there are the ones going for Jinkos. They have muscles and practice martial arts? If they need martial arts to fight it means they are weak and have to compensate. Really strong monsters dont need training to kick ass, like Manticores. About the muscles, I guess they need to be all bulked up to be strong. You know which monsters are very strong without needing muscles? Manticores. And if you like muscles, Manticores can get all ripped in a matter or days. Martial arts? Manticores have a natural ability for combat and can learn it very fast. Not like they need it.... but if her husband wants, they can.

You like Minotaurs? They are so weak they use weapons to fight. Not like Manticores couldnt carry them too.

I think at times people just dont know what is good for them and Im SICK AND TIRED OF IT?
