I'm very new to Japanese, so please forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask something like this, but I was trying to mine an old trailer from when Final Fantasy Versus XIII was new, and there was one grammar point I couldn't really find an answer to.
In it, Stella talks about how some people can receive a power from the land of the dead by having a near-death experience. She says these lines specifically:
>女神工トロ　死者の魂を迎えんと扉を開く
>その時　死者の国を照らすまばゆい光　天に漏れ出す
>まれに　その光を見る者あり
>その者　死者の国より力を授からんー
>テネブラエの言い伝えです
I'm assuming she does mean that people receive it, but she's using what I can only assume to be the negative form of to receive, "授からん." What is the ん specifically doing in this line?
