Why would that make him a hack? It wouldn't mean Jessica was Beatrice all along, Shkanontrice would still be the answer. But the metaworld version of Jessica could be made into a witch by "someone" in the far future who falls for the red herring and popularizes the Jessitrice theory. And in the meta itself, Jessica would have plenty of reasons to do this shit. We don't know if she had a crush on Battler or not, but they are VERY similar personality-wise and Battler's ideal woman (that Yasu used to create the Beato persona) happens to be exactly like Jessica: a blonde bombshell that doesn't mind telling crude jokes. There are too many similarities, in the same way Satoko and Takano have many things in common.

These two fics are interesting because they explore how Jessica would feel about Kanon after learning he's the culprit.

The first deals with Jessica being held at gunpoint by Kanon in EP4 and realizing he's a sucidal psycho who's gonna drag everyone to Hell with him. The second is about them being stuck in the golden land for all eternity without anything changing, all because Kanon was a nutjob.

Something like this could be material for Umineko Gou. It makes sense with the established canon.
