I wonder if Cover thinks that's what EN audiences are looking for in a character. It could be that Calli is also viewed by nips trying to improve their English and that that's the main aim of the project but I think that westerners are less strict with the whole LARP and act playing that nips know. Stuff like senpai, kouhai and that jazz that dominates their culture are non-existent here. Even Suisei for example treats her avatar as just that ... an avatar. She relies much more on her personal stories and tetris skill than her larp.

Unfortunate fairings for the vtuber industry if this becomes the standard.

if you're watching that podcast for her instead of them you're probably not going to like it
i mainly watch it for them since they have established and personable characters that come doubly into expression during their podcast but now it's just them taking swings at what lies behind the mask and her pretending to be this calliope character
