So, I've been thinking of learning japanese, I consume a lot of japanese media and would like to understand it without needing a translator, I also like how their culture is free of the SJW bullshit that infested the western media but that's talk for another board /pol/, not this one.

Any good books or sites you guys recommend to learn Japanese?
Both speaking and writing/reading it.

I googled a bit and found Genki, Is it any good?

What else do you guys recommend?
