People do have children however often have one child before the marriage disintegrates. It's currently harder to get out of a car hire lease agreement than it is to get out of a marriage.
When it is so easy to dissolve a marriage you won't attempt to fix it. As a result we end up with vast numbers of single parent households (often mothers who are generally quite bad on their own of bringing up children).
Those children are quick to get involved in drugs, violence, rape, murder and have a myriad of social and mental disorders due to not having a good and healthy upbringing.
The men who would then usually go on to reproduce now cannot since they have been sapped of all their money to pay for their ex wives life styles and have no chance to reproduce again because it is so costly.
If you want to see what the final level of the break down of marriage is, look at the black ghetto's in the US.
Kids with no education, no moral upbringing, angry mothers who don't know how to bring up kids because they had mothers who didn't know how to bring them up. Violence, rape, drugs and murder on scales per capita that are only matched in third world shit holes.
