Even studios that have tried to resist it, like tone work's, have seen the average bust size of their cast go up. It goes without saying how other studious have reacted, its common now for titles to have nothing but heroines with 90cm+ bust.

And then you have studios like Hadashi Shoujo that give their artists a bunch more work by giving one of their heroines a skin color/glasses toggle that affects sprites and CGs (bottom 2 options in pic). They had to do every h-scene and sprite model an extra 3 times to account for this.

The main heroine in Magatsu Barai has small-normal tits at least.

VNs usually only have around like 10-15 CGs if don't count variations on them. More than half of them are wasted on H scenes.

That's why eroge is inferior fap material. Few doujins gives you more variation than one mid-size eroge does. Static cg with some variation and va making her best while sucking on dildo gets really stale over time, even worse when every scene is just boring vanilla with no attempts to make it just a little bit hotter, like purplesoft does.

It happens very rarely, but I like it when the game has "minor" CGs that are low on detail for the less important characters/events, on top of the standard amount of high detail CGs you usually get for heroines. It helps add a lot visually and narratively.

August's method of making "half-CGs" by placing character sprites against unique backgrounds, or simply by manipulating sprites in creative ways is another great way to spice up a game visually and I wish more studios copied that.
