Sorry for skipping your song, but 40 minutes are just too much.

Nobody requested it, it was randomly selected to fill in the request gap.

Spartan, you should be the one taking a stance on this issue.

Ridiculously long songs like that shouldn't be in the library, imo. Sometimes when theres few people listening and a song like that comes on, it wont skip because you wont get the minimum required skip votes.

I like the current one. nice and calm in contrast to the mood today.

This has been rehashed a countless number of times, search your favorite /jp/ archiver.

The Skype issue. There shouldn't be a skype conversation room to alienate /jp/ users. Why can't we rather use the IRC channel?

too many users for audio anyway. no need to be shy

People go where it's convenient for them, and currently Skype is perceived as such.

We won't close the Skype convo to make people move to IRC. And don't make sweeping generalizations about /jp/ putting yourself as the standard.

Skype requires the use of a client program that is not free software; in other words, the users don't control it — it controls them.

You should never run a nonfree program, so this is enough reason to refuse to use Skype. But there are other bad things about Skype.

Skype refuses to say whether it can eavesdrop on calls. That almost certain means it can do so.
Skype gave personal data about a Wikileaks supporter to another company without any legal obligation to do so.
Skype churns the meaning of preference settings, and gives its users a run-around when someone cheats them.
Microsoft has changed Skype to make it easier for states to snoop on users.
What to use instead? The most obvious alternative is a long-distance phone card. They are quite cheap nowadays, and they work with any phone.

SHMUPs, eroge and fighting games are non-free software too. Furthermore, most of them run badly on Wine, especially games requiring timing and flawless gameplay so most people run Windows as their main OS (I know I do).

IRC servers are logged too and have been known to provide logs to law enforcement agencies without a warrant, not to mention malicious administrators using them for trolling, drama or for gaining access to other systems (e.g. by looking for passwords in private channel).

In any case, this discussion does not belong here I would like you to stop. You're welcome to contact us by email though.

What's up with the songs where the time remaining always resets to 30 seconds?

>> No.10112690

Transient error due to SAM being ENTERPRISE QUALITY software. Most likely the decoder stumbles on gapless or pregap information in the header.
