I swap waifus on a daily basis, usually I'll watch an episode of a new anime and pick a girl from that and she'll be my waifu for the day. Then the next day a new show will air and if I like a character from that more, then she'll be my waifu. My current waifu is that chuu2 girl with the eyepatch, I haven't actually watched the show yet but I can just tell shes my waifu for now.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, theres no reason to just have one fictional character be your fictional love interest. Half of these characters are built up with the same exact archetype in mind, so its no wonder I would switch my waifu so often; they're all practically the same anyways. The only reason one wouldn't switch was because they were more interested in the physical appearance, which is definitely less morally sound than swapping fictional love interests.

Can we count this waifu stuff as role playing? Saying things like, "I bought this for mai waifu," is not okay, even if you are being whimsical and ironic. That's how I've handled it so far, but people are taking the whole thing seriously (even on /jp/) and this thread is a shining example of that. Not to mention our janitor seems to think this is a fairly quality thread.
