How can we celebrate /jp/'s anniversary with the janitor on our ass 24/7?

I suggest /ota/.

Don't tell me you're one of those /ota/ faggots, Yama...
You didn't even get trips.

I'm so disappointed in you.

Calm down senor... /ota/ is a cool place. It gives me some amazing good old days vibes...

Of all the boards in 4chan, is there any other with a huge shitposting culture as /jp/?

And I call it culture because is its name, trying to deny this is stupid, that crap has been around enough to take root, you may like it, you may not, but trying to deny it as something from the outside that come to disturb the place can't be right. Even some of you, good posters, deal with it, being in metathreads, mailing mods or just shitposting, ironically or not.
As bad as it sounds for the place, it bugs me too, /jp/ has shitposting culture.

Have you ever seen it this way?

Will you keep rejecting it and/or try to purge the scourge?

4chan's been always full of shit but in this place it works in other way.

/s4s/ is literally shitposting culture. /fit/, /sp/, /a/, and /pol/ all have some shitposting here and there. Our per capita ratio is probably the worst, though.

I think the only places with more shitposting apart from /b/ are /s4s/, /sp/ and /v/.

Other boards have a reputation for shitposting and serial shitposters (e.g. /sp/ and /v/) but I don't think they're as cultured as we are.

I feel like the shitposting on /jp/ is more of a community thing, without it being some sort of circlejerk. It's like a bunch of soldiers from different, allied countries all caught behind enemy lines. They can't understand each other, but they still band together and fight together.

And what makes us more cultured than them?

Because we have collective achievements and connections going back years. We're just a bunch of people who happened to independently shitpost random things.

Watch Macross.

At the end of the day, a shitpost is a shitpost, no matter who is behind it.

Art comes in many forms. Any medium that requires some degree of creativity can be art.

I guess I could put my shit in a jar and call it art. Some people who call themselves "artists" do this already. Does that make it art? Does painting my shit on a wall make me an artist?

Yes to all, as long as you do it right.

It's like how computer science has nothing to do with computers. You could apply computer science principles to moving sticks around, for example.
