Anyways, in case anyone missed it last thread, Aaeru's Da Capo III project got C&Ded by MangaGamer: http://visualnovelaer.fuwanovel.org/2013/03/da-capo-iii-fan-translation-cease-desisted-by-mangagamer/

Either this means Da Capo III will be released by MangaGamer (very unlikely I'd say, considering their recent release history) or MangaGamer is now C&Ding projects from their companies regardless of whether they'll translate it or not. I wonder what'll happen when somebody finally starts translating OreTsuba?

I still laugh at how newfags doesn't understand what autosage means.

If only I knew people lurk/read the FAQ so I wouldn't have to spend time bothering teaching them this shit.

The true meaning of autosage means the thread has passed the 300 post bump limit and it ain't gonna be deleted until it gets bumped off the last page. It's ironic, because you think when a thread is autosaged, it's autodeleted. This ain't the case as the FAQ states:

http://www.4chan.org/faq#bump

>All threads have a set bump limit (varies board to board). When this limit is reached, a thread will no longer "bump" to the top of the board, causing the thread to descend through the pages until it is marked for deletion and pruned. This method of post-limiting, while sometimes inconvenient, assures that content is kept fresh on the boards.

Now you know better, search the fucking catalog first before making a new thread, to see if the original thread is actually still there.

So you come into this thread spouting crap and flip out when I ask what your talking about? If you want to shitpost and argue with someone, try doing it to someone talking to you or about a topic actually being discussed.

Didn't they release Da Capo II a couple of years ago? I always assumed they wanted to work on Da Capo III too.

>> No.10676801

Da Capo II was originally released in 2006, then the localization was released in late December 2010. That's 4.5 years after original release. Da Capo III, on the other hand, was released less than a year ago. There's no way they're already releasing it in English. (Remember that Japanese titles are 9000 yen and localized titles 40 euros at most; there's no way Circus will allow an official >50% price drop in less than a year.)

>> No.10677245

>>10676801
6000 on Amazon now, could be lower (~4000 JPY) if you're buying second hand goods from shops (Sofmap, etc). Once you're past the first few weeks after launch, I think sales will be low and stagnant. If localization can bring them enough sales boost, I don't see why not. It's also an all-ages game. They should have less trouble with regulations and whatnot.

I'd rather ``snipe'' a translation project you are involved in. After all, which company likes to see their own games vandalized and ruined by the likes of you?

>see their own games vandalized and ruined
Also known as the "I don't like it, therefore you can't do it" argument? I'll let Aaeru explain what's wrong with that...

You spelt "vandalised" wrong.

I don't remember if this was mentioned recently, Dramatical Murder is now 100% translated, 100% edited, and has an ETA of early-to-mid April. Looks like character limitations are holding everything up, but still!

What is this alternative universe you speak of where MangaGamer didn't stop releasing any decent games to go a JAST-like nukige-only route in 2012? Have they also released Sumaga and Django over there? And I suppose Yumina was released before AX 2011?

>> No.10678018

>>10677999
one where Mangagamer can't conjure money out of thin air to keep localizing titles that don't sell, so they have to acquire funds in some way if they want to buy high profile titles rights

>> No.10678033

>>10678018
Their sales are better than ever before, and they're releasing less decent titles than ever before. Also, look at JAST. They make a hell of a lot of money (J-List alone makes more than enough money to license really high-profile titles), yet they're only putting out nukige. It's because they're only interested in profit and only release serious titles to outcompete competitors when they arrive, until they either go bankrupt or become part of JAST, practically or officially. MangaGamer right now is pretty much dependent on JAST, earlier publishers either went bankrupt (Hirameki) or became JAST subsidiaries (G-Collections). These companies contribute nothing to the VN market, only interested in making a quick buck off of cheap nukige.
