But what you can do is just grab the text with a hex editor. For example, that string can be found at 0x002A1BA0, and there's a lot of other text around there. So you can just find the likely start of the text, select until the likely end of all of the nearby text, and paste it into a text file, then trim off all of the junk. It's ugly and unsophisticated, but it works.

Is there an easy way to find the bosses for these quests? I've been going down the list of spell cards with little luck.

Something I discovered with GHost93, text stops displaying, waiting for input, when it sees a 07. Also found that at least with the opening text, half-width stuff won't appear while full-width does.

This enemy is not weak against fire. I have no idea why.

Haven't played the demo. The difficulty is somewhat dued to the trial & error gameplay and the lack of save points. If you already know where to go, the best thing is probably just to rush to the next teleporter.

Battle Raiders gets pretty friggin insane as you go. It doesn't help I'm really bad at multi-tasking in RTS-type games. The game also seems to have some quirks that get on my nerves like units NEEDING to be made to attack an enemy walking right by them.

I hate how fucking similar many skill trees are in Touhou Quest. Sometimes the only difference is the element the characters gets boosted. Why can't they make a game in which characters are truly unique again? The fact that you can't change the skills unless you pay tons of money is just as annoying.

Don't download lossy releases from srsfckn.biz. The encoder that dude used (FFmpeg?) does not write proper gapless information and seamless files will end up having small gaps. Welp, FFmpeg uses libmp3lame to encode, but apparently doesn’t write the encoder delay metadata the same way the LAME frontend would. Time to file a bug, I guess. And hope they’ll cooperate. Dealing with FFmpeg folks is a pain in the ass, and like I mentioned before, this stuff is non-standard.
I was using FFmpeg so I could just run it on the WavPack files after splitting without having to bother with the metadata, but it seems that was a mistake (I only checked whether it was actually passing encoder settings along properly).

Looks like I’ll just write another script to do the conversion properly and fix all the files on my server. Thanks for noticing.

Nah, my stuff is cleaner than this mess of buggy shell scripting (yes, I can already see a number of bugs in that code; for example it passes along metadata as parameters without any safety checks).
I used to do it with shell scripts myself (originally rewrote cue2tracks because it was utterly insane, and the result looked pretty similar to caudec), but quickly noticed how dumb and unnecessarily complicated that was given how you can do basically the same thing better and in less than 500 lines if you use a language like Python or Go.
