An early fan vocal arrangement of Nitori's theme contains this line: "Kappappa kappappa Nitori, you get more than you pay for with Nitori."

The latter half of the line is from the slogan of the Nitori store chain, and several doujins have made it an unofficial slogan for her. A reference to this line was made in Subterranean Animism.

Nitori is thought to be one of the kappas who assisted Suwako in Hisoutensoku's construction.

Kappas in mythical Japan have bald spots, leading fans to believe that Nitori is hiding a bald spot under her hat. ZUN disconfirmed this during a discussion on 2ch after Mountain of Faith's release.

Some fan art depicts her holding a Pepsi Ice Cucumber instead of a reed.
