It was quite fun to drive there. The ocean breakers that lined the beaches had streets on top of them so I go drive down the coast and enjoy the ocean breeze. The narrow streets just called for someone coming from a different direction to pull their car over to let the other person pass, another reason why I was glad I had power folding mirrors.

Once every eight months until June 2012 != "always" had them

These threads are so absurdly off-topic I'm not sure what anyone was thinking when they decided to approve them and babysit related threads (laundry otaku, bridge otaku, table otaku, etc.) Threads like these so obviously attract a /v/ crowd accustomed to reaction images, "comfy" blogposts, and "sink threads," which begets even more shittiness to this board. And those aspie /int/rejects who have been devoting their life (or lack thereof) to necrobumping these threads for the past year aren't helping.

There's on scene where Banksy sneaks an inflatable inmate into a Disneyland exhibit, brilliant stuff. However, the movie isn't just about Banksy, he's just a major component. It's on youtube so you should really check it out.

That sounds appropriate enough. I think Banksy is one of those people where his art is more important than who he is, so he's really a testament to how anonymity/pseudonymity can totally work out (judge the art, not the person). Though I still wonder how the fuck someone can do complex graffiti and art pieces in public places and we still don't know what he looks like.

I'll definitely check it out, thanks Anon!

There's a lot of photography that just tries to capture reality: photojournalism, candid and street photography, architectural photography, nature and documentary photography, probably more. Professional photographers might put a spin on it in order to actually sell their photos (particularly in journalism), but the original photograph was more-or-less just trying to capture a moment in real life.

So it's like a bicycle but requires an expensive monorail type system to be built everywhere and is also incredibly susceptible to traffic jams since just one person stopping will hold up everyone behind them for miles?

Yeah, I can see how this is superior. Bloody hippies.

So cars are like horses except they require motorways and metal and petrol and service stations and coffee machines for those little shops that sell rubbish coffee for £3 a cup?

Cities have had trams and subways, some old, some recent. I don't think building a few sticks of metal and a bunch of pods (probably cheaper than cars) is going to be a huge deal.

That's pretty retarded and looks more like a very local, for fun, thing.

The immediate future of locomotion looks like cars but increasingly automated, then a few years after that completely autonomous cars. Electric cars that is. No pollution, no noise.

I already don't have a car and can take a free city bus to wherever I need to go. If it's close, I just ride my bicycle or walk.

The less polluted our cities and environment are the better it will be for everyone. I hope the future is green.
