Everything about this game is cliche but the art by Sayori makes it pretty fappable. The h-scenes in the trials were good. This game has no budget so it feels doujin-ish with shitty music. The voices are pretty standard.

Starting sengoku hime - this is a direct continuum of baseon's standard take on koihime, where the MC is a niece of Kazuto in Shin Koihime (rather than Koihime). The starting dialogue shows Kazuto, as the uncle, knows his niece will go jump into one of the historical periods and wreck shit with girls, thus prepared everything, including mysterious artefacts that so handily having power to transport his niece to the said world period. Also doubly confirming Kazuto having took Sousou route in Shin Koime and went back to his modern Japan period safely.

Should note this is all-age version, where you bet Baseon will release the 18+ complete version, or the 18+ FD to complete the release. I suspect the all-age version is also angling for an anime TV series adaption, just like koihime which had 2 anime seasons.

Donations are unnecessary and wouldn't help anyway. The server is hosted on my student dorm connection, which I don't have to pay for (it's included in the rent). No special hardware is needed to run an FTP server; the physical server itself is an old desktop PC from 2007.

They're hard to compare. One is a collection of fantasy/horror short stories in a school setting, the other is a sprawling action/crime fiction drama set in post-war Japan.

So far he's not upto his uncle's number yet (52) and they are generally less examplary in terms of specialism barring a few. However I wouldn't compare too much, since the scale is rather different, with one came from era where they can wield 100k troops (as far as stories go) and where in sengoku they wield 20-30k. My impression is the interaction with the harem itself is much improved and there is more sense of consicious of other girls in the harem aiming for Kensuke apart from themselves. Still, large number of them mean some must fall short in interaction (content) which Baseon can release a whole FD to supplement.

Should also mention Kensuke is quite involved in the military campaign - the closest comparison would be Kazuto in sousou route getting worked for all he has. Kensuke also given more chances to show his thought, compare to the prequisite knowledge of Kazuto in their respective story.

Personally I am enjoying this, a good break from others I read.

I'm no doubt in a small minority here, but in some ways I'm enjoying it more than I did Majikoi so far. I mean, the latter is admittedly a better game on the whole but I personally find the 不良 theme more interesting than martial artists.

And, well, Majikoi doesn't have Renna. That's a huge disadvantage right there as far as I'm concerned.
