The first game came out in 2002. If you had gotten pregnant in that year then your kid would be 12 years old today and would probably just be starting to get into VNs. It's literally a new generation.

with this and the new wtc, r07 is gonna make a huge comback and /jp/ will have hype threads like in the good old days. the best thing about r07 is that every year we get two new eps and it really feels like you can look forward to something. im sure wicthhunt will translate all of these. have they said anything?

The Witch Hunt are currently stalled, not making any progress with their Rose Guns Days translation. It is therefore unlikely they'd be able to work on any other projects soon.

I think sometimes people read too much into my comments and draw incorrect conclusions. Still, it's no big secret that, as I've said before, my goal is to make 07th Expansion's works as widely available as possible. I think people expect that from me, so there's really no point in hiding it. I can't discuss the specifics of enquiries, but it might be reassuring to fans to know that they are happening.

To be perfectly honest though, there's really not a whole lot to say about Higurashi Hou or the space-themed sound novel. Ryukishi07 has told me very little about the latter, and it's still too early to even make plans to translate the former. Now of course, I would love to work on Hou, but you may know that I'm not really a translator myself. I will see if one of the translators who worked on Higanbana will be able to translate the new portions of Hou, but I don't want to get anyone's hopes up.

And even if we were able to translate Hou, we wouldn't want to tread on MangaGamer's toes. And there's nothing to say some other translation group won't pick it up. As you can see, the situation is quite complex, so even I don't know how things will turn out. I'll certainly do what I can, though.

No one's really reading too much into things - all your comments about this so far are worded in such a way that it seems like you're way further along than you actually are.

That alone gets people's hopes up, so it's better if you play it like a localization PR person and be like "we're seeing what can be done about it" or "we're considering it" instead of just outright teasing things, unless you're really sure its going to go somewhere.

Just don't be like Aksys and never give any definitive conclusion ever. Speaking of I think there are still people around that're sore from that whole mess.
