This board is really turning to shit. Once in a while a Japan thread was bearable and even enjoyable, but when i see 4 threads on nip food apartments pics, uniforms and now moving there it is starting to piss me off.
Not only that the fags that make most of those threads are unbearable normalfags that do nothing but blog about their shitty life. Once I see that disgusting Army fag blogging about having a nip gf indiscriminately I know the thread is complete shit.
Why do you think most boards like /ck/, and /trv/ get angry when one of these threads show up? Because you weebs are annoying little shits.
And now make your obvious reply
>Don't come in my thread if you don't like it

But if you aren't fucking women at home, don't think it'll magically change.

source: worked 2 internships in Japan, slept with 2 girls each time I was there.

>Why haven't you moved to japan yet? What's stopping you?
I couldn't survive in Japan because Japan has very restrictive stimulant laws.

There's a lot of unpleasant things about the US, but the one nice thing about this country is that I can easily and legally get prescription amphetamines. These magic pills are the only thing that can get me out of bed in the morning and even if I could force myself out of bed then without these I would just stare at the computer screen and do nothing for hours. I wouldn't have been able to obsessively study Japanese every day for as long as I have if it wasn't for these. I can't do anything without these.

In Japan though, amphetamines are very illegal and you can't even enter the country with them if they were prescribed to you. My options are either live in Japan as a depressed lobotomized zombie or live in the US with a energized, focused, and happy mind and vicariously live in Japan by using Japanese entertainment, niconico, and futaba. I would spend most of my time on the internet even if I lived in Japan, so the most significant difference is that I have to deal with terrible shipping.

Being east asian (but not Japanese) is actually quite bad in Japan, but maybe it's just me.

I'm Chinese, and the last time I went to Japan I had this massive insecurity.
The clerks always spoke to me in Japanese, and though I had basic fluency, I struggled to put together a non-awkward sentence. I had this paranoia that they expected me to reply back in good Japanese.
"Oh shit, what if they realize I'm not actually Japanese but a tourist?" was what I was thinking of half the time. I literally had to concentrate on not standing out, which was also quite hard because I'm a lot taller than their facilities (6.2 feet, yes I know I'm gigantic for a Chinese) and I bump into the subway doors when I'm not paying attention.

At least being clearly Caucasian gives you the gaijin pass, you get to do silly things and they'll just laugh it off.

And forget Tokyo; everything interesting could be seen in a week. People from Osaka are friendlier too. And say goodbye to cheap food until you can learn how to cook with Japanese ingredients, or adapt to eating shit with their weird palette. You're not quite right. Yes, they emulate a lot of Japanese culture and ethic, but the thing is it's not exactly a "party." No, they amp up the work ethic to 11. You think Japan's idol industry is soulless, try looking up K-Pop idol's living conditions during training. It's a boot camp. Their suicide rates surpassed Japan recently. It's amazing how such an emerging power China is still has big gaps in infrastructure especially when comparing the mainland to Hong Kong or Kowloon. Guess this is a problem with big countries like in Russia and the US. No curriculum? That's a bit concerning since despite what some individualists say, schools still need structure. I'm assuming the people are friendly but not as easy on the eyes where you live right now.

I dunno, if my investments payoff enough I might consider opening a business in Japan. Its the only visa option I am comfortable with, because I am not going to play into the Confucius bullshit of having superiors to be pissed on by.

Currently living in Mongolia, will be here for the next two years. Teaching English and working as a social worker at my school. Going to use the experience from this job to boost me into a job in a Japan teaching English and go from there.

I have always wanted to live there, for at least a couple years, but somehow I ended up in Mongolia first? Flying over Japan on the way here was quite the experience, small realization of a childhood dream. Anime here is surprisingly big, but mostly just with children or the more affluent Mongolians.

Though, it's hard to pass up this slow paced village style living. If only I could learn Mongolian with as much spirit as I did Japanese.

Mongolian women here are absolutely beautiful and strong willed. It's a current battle in my mind right now, to actually move on to Japan after, or just stay here in Mongolia and learn the language fluently. It's a hard call.

The women here are indeed interested in foreign guys, but you have to watch out, could just be green card interest. But, there are plenty of reasonable, hospitable and awesome people here just looking to live life too. The women of this country are running it right now, because since the 1990s all the Mongolian men have been largely just drunks and they cant get their shit together. Besides the whole macho men "Chingiss Khan" ideals that run rampant here in men.

Very true. Same exact fucking problem here. Mongolian and Japanese grammar are actually pretty similar. But, speaking Mongolian is a completely different thing, it is a very throaty language. Hard to pronounce. I have had the same sort of problems.

When you can't speak the language, it is as if you are neutered. For now, I think I have better chance at getting down Japanese better. I have no problems with Japanese language, it's just a matter of learning all the kanji I need.

It doesn't make sense at all though, since prescribing shit should benefit them just as much as it would me. Then again, blind morals never make sense.

>Help.

If you are a professional with lots of documented experience, I would suggest getting past employer references printed out, signed by them, and then translated into Japanese.

Gather up all you would need for a kick-ass resume and *try* to make it look like you stayed as long as possible with each company, even if that means fudging the dates a bit. Male sure your reasons for leaving past jobs was something like downsizing or redundancy and NOT that you just felt like quitting and getting something better.

A Japanese company isn't going to want to hire and experienced professional with all the headache involved if it seems like you are just going to use them as a stepping stone to something else. You have to give them impression you want to stay with them for the long-haul, whether that ends up true or not.

Once you rounded all that up, take a 3 month vacation to Japan (or whatever the max is for your tourist visa) and live in some sort of sharehouse or gaijin monthly rental. Spend ALL daylight hours doing these two things;

Studying Japanese somewhere regardless of your proficiency. Ideally focus on Business culture and language if possible.

Get out there and knock on every door you can find, go to every workshop and professional soiree. When I was in Japan there were many employment conferences in Tokyo that welcomed gaijin that my roommates would visit.

Try and find a Japanese employment agency to keep your information on file with, just make sure its not for temp or "baito" work. Don't get suckered into a gaijin trap with shit pat. If you can wrangle a Japanese friend to help you with this that would be very helpful. In general the more Japanese citizen that can vouch for you the better.

Its not impossible, but you will need some hard work, and time investment, and a little luck.

You do know there is a difference between a job and work in Japan, right? Shit like working at McD is temporary wage-slavery for Japanese residents only. Its easy enough to get, but its turnover rate is built into the system to be for under 30's until they get a "real" career or become a housewife.

The cultural aspect of that aside, it is considered unskilled labor and illegal for immigrants to use as a basis for a work-visa. This is to keep these jobs available for the natives and prevent an influx of dirty foreign piggu. The only exception to this is if you are young and from a country that has a Working Holiday Visa arrangement with Japan (USA is not one of them).

The other exception is if you already have a legit visa that allows you the option of working, like if you are already living in the country for University or marriage.

Yeah they do, at least last time I checked. I am actually hoping for a windfall that will allow me to open a business in Japan, its the only way I would want residency there.

Investing alone is not going to cut it probably, however if you open a business I think the rule is something like hiring at least 4-5 full time Japanese citizens. You can hire yourself and other foreigners on top of that (following the proper visa protocols) but a certain amount of your employees has to be Japanese.

There are also some caveats on how much initial money you have to spend on said business, with a shit ton of extra money in the bank so they know you wont go under in within a year or two.

If you do a search I am sure you will find Japanese business and investment organizations that exist solely to assist in this process. This one off the top of my head jetro.org

Personally, I think shitty foreigner mentality should be left out of Japan, or Asia in general.

You think Japan's society is sick? Well at least it isn't filled with niggers, publicly endorsed faggotry, drug abusers, cops who are legit above the law and aren't entitled to protect anyone (only upholding the law), leftists who thinks black people are the greatest people who suffer under white people (this is more racist than calling a black person a nigger), and people with no concept of self-awareness.

In Japan, you can walk at night without the fear of being mugged by a nigger with a shitty kel-tec.

I'd rather live in a boring day-to-day life enjoying peace (unless I want to have fun) and civilization.

I'm not even obsessed with living in Japan (I'm Korean/Chinese), but I am jealous of how stable their society is. Korea's society is going down the shitter as we speak and China remains the clusterfuck it always has been for the past 60000000 years. I've had my share of weed and the various other "cool things" that everyone bitches at Asia for not having. None of them have improved my life or personality, and in fact, were just a waste of my time.

Nips are terrible people in general, soulless and selfish. If an average japanese man only had a chance, he wouldn't hesitate to go all Nanking 2.0. I was much more afraid in between the dead mass of japanese crowd, than I am on the streets of my country at night. They're basically robots with a hobby of genocide.

You obviously are a shitty weeb who probably doesn't have any sense of self-awareness. It's a give and take. If you present yourself as a normal human being, you will be treated as a normal person. I know it's really hard for you to grasp the concept due to your terminal autism, but if you apply yourself, it'll work. It's a universal rule amongst all civilizations.

>bringing up Nanking and blaming genocide

Considering the fact your nation also committed genocide and mass killings, I don't think you have anything to say to.

Also, don't blame the Japanese for the majority of Nanking, it was 60-70% Chinese soldiers and the rest Japanese/Zainichi.

>robots
HAHAHAHA you haven't met an actual Japanese person and probably live vicariously through a weeb/stuck up foreigner who didn't know how to talk to people.

Seconded. Personally I don't like that Japan is getting more and more influenced by loose western values. But drugs would be the worst thing. Drugs fit into shit countries such as US, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain etc, but not into Japan.

Then you should know VERY well that Jap's aren't the evil people you describe themselves as. You probably were stuck in your fantasy of "omg jepun is gr8 i totally can be japanese since i love jepun". I've seen numerous foreigners like you who get rejected by everyone and go home and cry "jeps r meen i h8 them"

Do you know why Japan produces weird shit, it's because of the retarded laws foreigners forced in. Instead of the copy and paste porn the Americans use, they use different approaches. Plus, the "sick porn" is a niche market.

>>12632394

I am a KOREAN/CHINESE person. I'm genetically modified to hate Japs. But guess what? I have many Japanese friends who I can be cozy (and shit fling) with. All I ever did was being normal. It's not that hard. But then again, your terminal autism cannot allow you to interact with others.

It's such a shame, since if you ever decided to be a normal person, you'd probably made a friend or an acquaintance.

I have normal European friends (British and Italian). They didn't become Japanese, but they were able to live normally in Japan. Maybe you came from a shitty slav nation that doesn't know basic manners.

>MUH SOULS ARGUMENT

What soul? Shitty music and random emotions created from the media that apparently makes someone soulful? I'm sorry, I don't watch television or the general media thing anymore. I read the newspaper, but the only media thing I actually watch is movies and some soap operas.

What is your definition of soul? Do I have to smoke weed and be completely ignorant in order to prove that I have a soul?

I personally enjoy living a quiet life and going outside once or twice a week to hang out with friends. You may call it boring, but I've also had my years of fun and find it to be more soulless and pointless due to the fact that everyone else is doing it in order to have artificial fun.

>> No.12632551

>graduated from high school, jumped right into college
>went for game design because I do it as a hobby so whythefucknot

current plan

Pay off the last year of college, then save up money to take a month trip to japan; check it out see if I really want to make this life-changing decision

If so, then go back to college, work on learning the language; taking classes and practicing on my own

graduate/go for TESL/save up money/get all my shit together

this taking place over the next 5 or so years

Am I doing this right?
