Been playing Kancolle and Touken Ranbu. They aren't really games and the only drive in them is to get the character you want by chance. In the battles there could at least be some choice in what you so, but you watch as your team either wins or loses. I think the point in that is to have your team get hurt, you getting them healed and wait while they're patched up, then get impatient and buy instant fixes. Sure, you can get instant fixes in the games but I think this is the main point. I didn't expect this post to turn into a rant but it did.

Every kancolle thread I see usually starts off with somebody complaining the OP isn't written correctly and telling janny to delete it or someone to remake it, or people trying to get first post for the sake of getting first post.

I'm very sorry to admit that I sometimes feel the need to check out the /vg/ threads for games I play, and it's usually the same exact thing. At this point, I just realize that talking about videogames on imageboards is just dumb as hell, so I try to steer clear of it.

As someone already said, because they failed. I seen countless threads for a single boat girl go to page 10 with only 10 posts.
Outside of dumping pictures those threads don't have much going. It could be that most kancolle fans on /jp/ only read the general and don't notice or that there just isn't much to talk about.
