It doesn't affect Touhou worth a shit because ZUN offers all prospective creators of Touhou Project secondary the rights to create it.

It has the potential to shit on all sorts of other doujinshi, vastly extend copyright protections, and make it even more illegal to break DRM, but these don't affect Touhou either.

/jp/ rarely actually discusses doujinshi as a whole. As with /a/, the vast majority of discussion is of franchise-specific works in franchise-specific threads. Even when discussing Comiket (which us hugely relevant to /jp/) the vast majority of everything is Touhou.

It's an appeal to amend some parts of the TTP to be less nonsense. Please mention your feelings on the extension of copyright from Japans 50 years to Amerikkkas 70 years (it's bullshit).

Please mention that the provisions that allow legal action without the notification of the defendant is bullshit.

Please mention the negative effects it would have on independent artists and small entrepreneurs.

Remember friends, it may be useless in the end but it is important to show your disapproval, at least you can say you tried to protect your hobby.

Games Workshop became too stringent regarding their IP. But the least exposure you get, the least people will get to know about you. The other problem was that GW did extremely shoddy jobs regarding their figures, so the fans preferred to make their own This launched volleys of C&D orders from GW, which in turn alienated many fans, because the "official" figures are extremely expensive, nevermind the books.

One of the few reasons they still keep a fanbase is because of games done with their universe. Otherwise, very little people would care about them.

>shut down a large number on fansites
>shut down the official forums rather then bother moderating it
>sue anyone who uses the phrase "space marine", even in areas they have no legal right to do so.
>When that doesn't work they renamed everything in the game to something dumb-sounding, but copyright-able (i.e. Imperial Guard -> Astra Militarium and High Elves -> Aelfs)
>Refuse to do previews or even announce their releases more than a month in advance (they think it generates more hype if people have no idea when new products are coming out)
